In a significant step towards fostering community resilience to climate change, the TransformAr Playbook has been officially launched on the Mission Implementation Platform for Adaptation to Climate Change (MIP4Adapt). This innovative tool is designed to assist communities in organizing and conducting effective workshops aimed at co-creating adaptation pathways.

The Playbook was initially piloted at the start of the TransformAr project in 2022, engaging seven diverse communities across Europe: Guadeloupe (France), the Westcountry region (UK), Galicia (Spain), Sardinia (Italy), Egaleo (Greece), Lappeenranta (Finland), and Gjøvik (Norway). This early testing phase demonstrated the Playbook’s potential in guiding structured and participatory workshops focused on developing adaptation strategies.

The primary objective of the Playbook is to facilitate the organization and moderation of workshops that emphasize adaptation pathways in a dynamic and engaging manner. By encouraging participants to consider both incremental and transformational adaptation solutions, the tool ensures that community discussions are comprehensive and forward-thinking.
