On August 29th, the City of Lappeenranta and LUT University held a successful Open Day to showcase the results of the TransformAr project. The event was part of the annual Greenreality Carnival at Lappeenranta City Hall and provided an engaging platform to share project developments, including the newly launched CitySen App and advancements in climate change adaptation.

Visitors to our stand had the opportunity to learn about the project’s outcomes firsthand. At the Koulukatu demonstration site, we offered interactive presentations to schoolchildren and other attendees, highlighting the features of the bio-infiltration area. Over at Central Park, guests could actively participate in citizen science activities. We demonstrated how to use the water research kit provided to local schools and guided participants through the process of collecting and analyzing water samples.

The warm and sunny weather attracted a significant number of visitors, allowing us to connect with around 150 attendees throughout the day.
